My Favourite Activity Is Basketball
Did you know that most successful basketball players make over 15 million dollars a year. Kobe Bryant made $30.45 million dollars last year (GOOGLE). I enjoy playing basketball with my friends and it is my favourite Activity. It keeps me active and healthy. Basketball is one of the most popular sports in the World. It is made popular because of famous basketball superstars like Michael Jordan and Magic Johnson who make the game look so easy and exciting. Although a lot of people want to play like those superstars and make a lot of money, but they don’t know how to be a good basketball player. In order to be a good basketball player, you must have good ball handling, accurate shooting and good observation skills.
First of all, to be a good basketball player, you must have good ball handling. If you have good control of the ball, you can have a greater chance of helping your team win. For example, Allen Iverson, is one of the best shooting guards in the World. He can control the ball so well that he can drive it anywhere he wants and therefore he is able to score easily and help his team win. “Iverson averaged a blistering 26.7 points for his career and was considered one of the best guards in the NBA history” (http://www.alleniverson3.net/biography/). If you don’t have control over the ball, then it is not possible to be a good player. Furthermore, a player with the ability to handle the ball well will not have to look at it while dribbling. Therefore, they are able to focus on the court and the game instead of watching the ball. Moreover, by not looking at the ball, the player can observe the opponents and make decision on when to pass or even when to shoot. When you have gained super control of the ball, you can do fancy dribbling skills, which will help you as a player to make space for yourself to shoot or drive in a score.
