EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
As a part of the two-year programmed leading to Post Graduate Diploma in Business (PGDM) from Institute Of Management Studies, Ghaziabad, affiliated to AICTE, curriculum, which includes both theoretical and practical orientation in, specialized areas under which we have to undergo summer training.
In fulfillment of this objective, I joined the organization Religare Technova Ltd. at Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The company is going to launch a Healthcare Information System. We were a part of this project and we were assigned the task of meeting our stakeholders (Physicians, Therapist. Chemist, Diagnostic centers, Opticians and Hospitals) and explaining them about our new Healthcare Service. It was our job to convince them to be a part of it. We interviewed them and took their information on the various information forms provided to us by our organization. We as a team were working towards making the “India’s largest Physician database”.
I was assigned to make a report on the topic “ scope and acceptance of Electronic Health Records among doctors”. For this purpose I made a questionnaire on this topic and got them filled by Physicians.
The scope of this project is wide as it also covers important analyses like SWOT ANALYSIS of the healthcare industry of India, the extent of IT penetration into the healthcare industry, to study awareness level of doctors towards the usage of EMR and to study the anticipated utilization of EMR and to rate their importance from the doctors perspective.
The project highlights the various factors, which are important for assessing the acceptance of EMR by doctors.
The various tools, which I have applied, are frequency distribution, Cross Tab, Factor Analysis and Mean
