Abstract
In nearly two-decades, the Internet has been integrated into our lives.   The Internet is a good information tool used all over the world.   There are two primary dimensions expertise and trustworthy.   The second factor affect credibility, perception, including source attractiveness and dynamics.   This paper will discuss 10 ways to determine the credibility on the Internet.

10 ways to determine credibility on the Internet
      URL:
The first component that will be discussed is the URL (Uniform Resource Locator), is a unique way of accessing the Internet.   The “Addresses ending in .gov, us and (STATE ABBREVIATION) are reliable” (Alanacausey, 2008).   When URL contains some tildes (~); which was published by an individual may not be a credible site.   Most websites requires URL which will make them credible.   Anyone searching the web should look for these accessibilities.

      Making sure that the data is up-to-date, is also a very good source for credibility on the websites.   Some sites tend to have out dated material, thus will likely make the site less credible.   Readers should carefully read when and where they have researched their information.   I personally had experienced reading sites that was not credible, because the data did not match the information that was given on the site.   As Hammett ask “are there obvious mistakes based on what the researcher already knows to be true about a topic (Hammett, 1999)?     A website is updated more often shows the author take the time to care for the information they present and thus this will be a credible source.
