Three Tools for Critical Thinking Essay
In high school, the Black experience was always approached in most cases, in a manner that never went in depth about where the black culture originated. It was more about the basic history more or so negative, whether it be the hardships the Black race as a whole suffered; inferiority to other races and the struggles to be accepted in society. But being in a course devoted to the study of solely African Americans, three new tools have been introduced that most teachers at primary level of courses failed to touch on.
Tool one being “The Three Environments” covers the natural, human and built environments and the history that is associated and affected and still affects humans and the world itself. Tool two, “Paradigm of Unity” elaborates on the historical changes and logic of the black history and how all events are linked. Tool three is the “science/ideology/action: or, knowing, feeling, doing” and focuses on the science behind everything using strict facts and theory to formulate explanations, also using ideology and action to seek proper insight to provide clarification to take such action needed.
Using the tools, you definitely get more in depth about the issue than in high school. All the facts are laid out, the logic makes sense and all acting becomes necessary. I think the tools are very helpful but sometimes could be hard to elaborate on and might not always work for every topic. But for the most part when used properly, they make developing ideas very simple and help guide in the right direction. They are very strong and extremely precise. In most cases, I would see them as very effective seeing as though when research is done properly, all answers that need locating are mostly likely always found.
The discussion was and will always be a very controversial topic. In the video, many shocking points were brought to attention. Science can basically sum up a lot of questions and ignorance of today’s society.... [continues]
