Three Question Reflection Essay
1.Question number 1 says Searching for information on Google is like trying to find a needle in a haystack. Is that true? Was the library of the 19th century more efficient?
I would have to say this statement is true, but at the same time it has a little bit of falseness to it. Using a search engine can be time consuming and very frustrating if you do not know how to use a search engine in the proper way, and searching for information on Google can be tricky. But with the technology in use on Google search engine. A person with knowledge of Google should be able to find information a little easier. (Google Corporate Company 2011) “In the early days, Google-bots searched the web every three to four months, which meant that the information you found on Google typically was out of date. Today they are continually searching the web making sure that you can find the latest news, blogs and status updates minutes or even seconds after they are posted. With Real-time Search, we’re able to serve up breaking topics from a comprehensive set of sources just moments after events occur.” I do not think it is possible to compare a search engine to a library of the 19th Century for the fact that they are at opposite ends of the playing field.

2.Question number 7 says Social networks allow people to connect for a variety of reasons in a digital environment. You might join LinkedIn to meet business contacts, MySpace to find a band member, or Facebook to see pictures of old friends and meet new ones. Whatever environment you decide to be a part of, posting information about you has become an issue of concern. What are those concerns? I mean what is the big deal about privacy?
