I was born in Northbay, but raised in Timmins. Before attending Timmins High and Vocational School I attended Queen Elizabeth Public School and R. Ross Beattie Public School. In Grade 9 I was voted as Grade 9 representative on student council and later became Director of Public Relations, for the rest of my high school career. In grade 9 I also participated in the Science Olympics and my team won first place in our division. I played Badminton, football and was a member of the track and field team. Music is my passion and I have been a member of the school’s performance class every year. I have been taking lessons in voice and piano since the age of 6 and have reached grades 6 in piano and 9 in voice. I have also completed the three music theory exams. In Grade 9 I participated in Timmins High’s production of “Grease” in which I played the role of “Doody”. I have also participated in numerous other plays and musicals for our community including. “Oliver”, “The Sound of Music”, “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” and I have recently been casted as the lead role in “Heart of Gold”, the musical about Timmins. This will be performed over 6 shows in June for Timmins’ centennial celebration. I am very active in the community and have logged hundreds of volunteer hours. I have many different licenses and certifications, which I have received after taking many courses. Some of which have provided me with job opportunities. I have been working part-time as a lifeguard/Water Safety Instructor at the Archie-Dillion Sportsplex/Gilles Lake, since grade 9.
