Find a workout that you love and one that you can do anywhere. Running, yoga, and other equipment-less workouts are great for travel nurses, because they can be done in any location. If you prefer working out in a gym, find a nationwide gym chain that offers a multi-location membership plan. * Seek Out Healthy Food

Ok, so the hospital vending machines are not going to be your best bet for a health lunch or snack. But that doesn't mean you can't eat healthy when you're on the job. It just takes a little pre-planning. Consider bringing your meals and snacks to work, or mapping out healthier fast-food options before heading to your next new assignment. When you've got healthy choices, you'll be less likely to reach for those unhealthy convenience foods. * Remember to Relax

It can be easy to get caught up in your job and forget to schedule some relaxation time during your travel assignments. Whether it's a bubble bath once a week or a stroll in the park — don't forget to give yourself time to decompress from your busy days on the job. * Research Your Resources

With each new assignment, you might have some wonderful healthy living resources to take advantage of. Do your research before starting an assignment to see what resources your new community has to offer. They may have a community pool, a local walking group or a beautiful trail for running or biking. * Stay Hydrated
