This House Will Support Absolute Freedom Of Artistic Expression In the Philippines. Opening Government
I. Argument
Art is not limited to beauty, what pleases ones eyes, nor to what can only be understood by the majority. II. Analysis
“ A true artist does not create his art with an audience in mind, he creates it to express himself.” Do not expect that all artistic expression should be adjusted to fit the understanding or taste of everybody. He should not be judged for his work. He has his own point of view, his own belief, and his own perception of things. The way he looks and perceives the world, be it religion or any other thing, is different from all of us. An artist has his own right to express his views and we are not in the position to judge and manipulate, most especially without knowing the essence and the true meaning behind ones creation.
