Chapter 3

This chapter represents the various methodologies to show the systematic methods and procedures that were used by the researcher in conducting their study. This study dealt with the research design, subject of the study, instrumentation, validation, data gathering procedure and statistical treatment.

Research Design:

The design of this study is descriptive design. To achieve the purpose of the study, the researcher implied descriptive research methods. The study used the descriptive method of research in order to answer the problem. Presented researchers prepared the questionnaire which was used to gather the necessary data needed in the study

This descriptive survey method of research is a process of gathering, analyzing, classifying and tabulating data about prevailing conditions, practice, beliefs, trends, and cause and effect relationship. The organized data were than subjected to interpretation. Data gathered from the questionnaire were then subject to statistical treatment and statistical tools such as percentages, frequency, weighted mean, standard deviation and fine point scale. These statistical techniques will be discussed in detail in the succeeding pages.

Subject of the Study:

Table 1

|Respondents |Number | |Microfinancing Clients | | | Banks |20 | | Cooperatives |10 | | Individual |20 | | | | |TOTAL |50 |

Sampling Plan:

● Population: The study aimed to include all the borrowers from Banks, from cooperatives and from individual lenders

● Sample Size: A sample size of 50 respondents will be taken for this study out of the massive counts of clients of Microfinancing and the available allotted time and the confined location we took the survey. The 50 different borrowers from different financial providers who’s age lies between 20 years old up to 50 years will be our respondents. The sample will be taken in the form of strata based on name, age, gender, civil status, location, educational attainment, monthly salary and borrowing capacity.

Sampling Technique:

The sampling technique will be probability sampling

This study will use questionnaire checklist to determine the data, process the data and to come up with a strategy with the calculated and studied data. Through this questionnaire we can determine the problems and satisfactory rate of borrowers to Microfinancing services of lenders where the output of the questionnaires will reflect the operations of lenders.

Tools and Techniques:

This study could never be complete without proper tools and techniques for the better presentation and right explanation of the research. We used tools of statistics and mathematics with guides from the book and help of computers to make our time efficient and somewhat lessen our burden on doing this research.

Technological Tools:

Microsoft Office Tools
