THE PROBLEM
Introduction
Man lives in the world of letters and words in expressing his insights in life. Letters and words serves as coping mechanism in their daily activities and interactions with other people. Letters form a word and word into sentence and sentences to paragraph, and paragraph comprises a short news story. A news story has a half-life which starts out on the radio and then goes to television. From television it appears in the newspapers, from the newspapers it goes to magazines; from magazines, to a book and then back to radio back to the magazine for book to review. And on the book people used what is written and being learned in interaction so, different skills in communication are taking charge of this situation. The book being read is transmitted by the use of different skills, the sight or seeing, hearing or audio, and talking or speech communication.
Communication is something all living creatures have innately in them to interact with one another so they can understand each other. Human beings communicate through conveying thoughts and ideas. Some people have better communication skills than others. Communication skills involve the use of auditory, which is spoken, or sung words and sounds, non-verbal, which involves the use of body or sign language and paralanguage which involves touch and eye contact. It is a process by which information is exchanged; it can be between of control and accomplishment (Robles, 1998).
Williamson (1997) stated that what makes the students understood is that all people all recognize the same symbols, signs and behavior so they know what is going on. More often than never, most people consider themselves to be good and effective communicators simply because they feel they can speak fluently, while speaking fluently is an important aspect of communicating, yet it is not the only requirement.
