If someone asked me, I would say that it is worth going pro. First of all, an eSports player would be making money playing video games. If I got that chance, I would take it. Now, people might be wondering how much eSports players actually make. Billy learned that an average eSports player makes more than an Olympian athlete. Pretend Billy went pro in DOTA. Let’s say his team won Internationals. The DOTA Internationals prize pool is 20 million dollars. If Billy’s team wins, they take home 10 million dollars, split between the five or six of them, depending on if they have a coach. Even if his team placed last, Billy’s team would still take home approximately $100,000. Even the USA, which has the most Olympic medals, only gives athletes $25,000 for a gold medal. Faker, who is widely considered the best League of Legends player ever, has made at least $1 million from tournaments, and rumours are he has a contract of $2.5 million a year for resigning with SKT T1. There are also other benefits of playing video games, which anyone can benefit from even if they aren’t a pro. For surgeons, it can drastically improve their performance in a…

I don’t think I have ever been more wrong in my whole existence on this earth. To this day I still am engrossed by it. League of Legends has, for better or worse, become a part of me that I will never be able to forget.…

Kids this age do not have an understanding of the rules and they are for the first time introduced to the concept of winning or losing. Much time is spent trying to master skills and coordination. Flexibility with the rules and usually no score is kept to avoid making the game all about winning. They enjoy playing with teammates and just learning how to play as a team member. Players can assemble and paint individual, 28 millimetre (approximately 1 inch) scale miniature figures that represent futuristic soldiers, creatures and vehicles of war. These figurines are collected to compose squads in armies that can be pitted against those of other players. Each player brings a roughly equal complement of units to a tabletop battlefield with handmade or purchased terrain. The players then decide upon a scenario, ranging from simple skirmishes to complex battles involving defended objectives and reinforcements. The models are physically moved around the table and the actual distance between models plays a role in the outcome of combat. Play is turn-based, with various outcomes determined by tables and the roll of dice. Battles may last anywhere from a half-hour to a whole weekend, and battles may be strung together to form campaigns. Many game and hobby stores host games, and official tournaments are held on a regular basis, such as the Throne of Skulls.…
