THE PROBLEM AND ITS SETTING
We are living today in a fast changing world of a technological era. People use technology to accomplish things and tasks easier, and it provides convenience to the end user. Information technology has become an integral part of any business that aims to reach a wider and larger network of clients. This includes company websites, blogs, online reviews, and online reservation systems. Online Reservation System is one technology that is widely accepted and used by many companies. It is used by airline companies, hotels and resorts. This system allows the customers to enjoy discounts and privileges. Using this system, customers can make transactions at their convenience. Anytime, anywhere.
Online reservation has several advantages for both the owner and the customer. The owner can easily find new clients online without spending more on printing the campaign materials and hiring sales agents. The company can cut down on their expenses. The customer can book a place from home, or wherever there is an access to the internet, and can easily compare prices and facilities of different resorts at a time.
Prior to the use of the internet and the world wide web, travelers or customer would write a letter, call the resort directly, or use a travel agent to make a reservation. Nowadays, online applications have pictures of hotels and rooms, information on their prices and deals, and even information on local resorts. Many also allow reviews of the customer to be recorded with the online application. The question now is, what are the problems of the online reservations, how can we solve these problems and could we totally depend on it and eradicate manual reservations.
Statement of the Problem
This study aims to create an online reservation system of Villa Ria Resort to answer the following questions: 1. What are the problems of Villa Ria Resort in manual reservation system? 2. What does the proposed online reservation can do to help Villa Ria? 3. What are the benefits of an online reservation system to Villa Ria Resort?
Objective of the Study
The aim of this is study is to develop an online reservation for Villa Ria Resort that will be beneficial to both owner and user;
