1. Since young, I was always interested by the documentaries that channels such as the History or Discovery Channel put on. 2.1 Sometimes they were about Bigfoot, crop circles, aliens building the pyramids, and sometimes they were about the Bermuda Triangle. 2. Practically everyone has heard of this mysterious place, a triangular area in the Atlantic Ocean bounded roughly at its points by Miami, Bermuda, and Puerto Rico. 3.2 It covers about 500 000 square miles of the Atlantic Ocean. 3.3 It is also known as the Devil’s Triangle because Bermuda was once called Islands of the Devils. 3. The area is noteworthy because of the number of unexplained disappearances that have occurred there. 4.4 Ships and aircrafts, have gone off the radar after sailing or flying into this zone, never to be heard from again. 4.5 The mystery deepens when remnants of these vessels are never found. 4. Howard, an expert on Bermuda Triangle, claims that more than 50 ships and 20 planes have disappeared in the Bermuda Triangle over the last century itself, and up to 1000 over the last 500 years. 5.6 Unusual events around the Bermuda Triangle go back to the voyages of Christopher Columbus. 5.7 He sometimes reported that compass readings were wrong. 5.8 In an attempt to explain the mysteries of the Bermuda Triangle, theories abound. 5.9.1 Such theories include everything from aliens to government cover-ups yet none have been proven 100% conclusive. 5. Intriguing our people since decades and more, this place is an epitome of mystery which is worth a discussion here. 6.9 I have done a lot of research as well as watched a lot of documentaries on this topic. 6.
