Title of the Book: Adventures of Huckleberry Finn

Author: Jayne Anne Phillips

Setting: The story of “Adventures of Huckleberry Finn takes place at the town of St. Petersburg, Missouri, which lies on the bank of the Mississippi River.

Favorite Characters and Why: My favorite character is Huckleberry Finn which is also known as “Huck”. I like the way he act in the story and also the way he do things (I mean the way he face his problems with his father). When he ran away from home, he did everything just to keep himself safe. Also he never let the Widow’s security to catch him. He is also an understandable person to any kind of people. And also my favorite character is Jim which is Huck’s friend. He helped Huck to survive and to get away from their enemies. Jim was one of the Widow’s servant or security. But he ran away when Huck disappeared and that makes the Widow think that Jim kidnap Huck. Jim’s stubborn reliance on the “authorities” of romance novels him to acts of incredible stupidity and startling unkindness. His severe devotion to societies aligns Jim with the “civilizing” forces that Huck learns to see through and gradually abandons.

Moral of the story: The story was nice and good, because it tells about the life of this young boy and his father with no mother. It’s a great story and also it mentioned some of the things that are happening in our lifetime. Some kids run away from home with good and bad reasons. But this kid didn’t try to get away from home because he did something bad but anyways, he ran away because he was tired and he wants to be free from the Widow that adopted him. It was a good and a nice story that tells about the adventure of his life, and this story basically about the Journey of Huckleberry Finn. Huck is the thirteen year old son of Pap which is the local drunk of St. Petersburg, Missouri, a town of the... [continues]
