The working Mother vs the Stay at home mother
Becoming a mother is a life changing experience. Soon after having children, many women are faced with a very difficult question. Should I return to work, or become a stay at home mom?
How does a woman choose between a career and family? Must the pros and cons be weight out?
Everything has to be taken into consideration. Everything from past spending habits to present financial situations. There are so many things that must be considered. The world often frowns upon the stay at home mom, underestimating the hard work that goes into it. The working mother is commonly viewed as being ambitious and driven however, both of these women play an equally important role in the family. Although most mothers are faced with difficult decisions. The decision to stay at home or work will be one of the most difficult decisions a mother will make.

Most women would testify that being a stay at home mother has both its benefits, and its downfalls. There was a time, when it was expected for a woman to stay home. Cooking, cleaning, and tending to the children was part of a normal routine. The choice was virtually non existent. Even though things have changed since then, many often still fail to understand that being a mother, is a 24 hour 7 day-a-week job with no pay.It is a job that some may find overwhelming. Between maintaining a social life and tending to a family, it is a challenge.
There are however, those that make it look easy. Whether or not it is easy is not the important factor. The important factor is the certain fulfillment a mother gets from this decision.

One benefit that comes to mind is the ability to bond with your children. Having the time to do those little, yet so important things like potty training, is a reward in itself. Structure is necessary with children. Not all daycares can provide the type of structure a stay at home mother can.
