Maroubra and Kogarah are the best-known suburb of Australia.Whereas Maroubra is a beach suburb, Koragah is a residentail suburb. Both cities are very near from the central business district approximately 10 km. This report will compare and contrast the people, housing and services of these two suburbs. The people of the two suburbs are similar because both of them are suburbs with not too much of people. The population of Maroubra are over two times more than Kogarah. The people in two towns are Australian so the largest age groups from 20-year-old to 39-year-old are the same with about 32% of the population in the two suburbs. Moreover, majority of population of both towns was born in Australia approximately 50%. This means most people speak English. There are differences in the house price of the two suburbs. The median house price in Maroubra is 1,050,000 dollars while Kogarah is 650,000 dollars. This means the average of house price in Maroubra is nearly more thantwice as much as Kogarah. The median apartment price in Maroubra is about less than half the median house price there whereas the median apartment price in Kogarah is less than two thirds the house price there. The types of both suburbs are the same with about 44%. Finally, the services in both towns have some similarities and differences. Kogarah is more modern than Maroubra beacause in Kogarag, there is a train station with 25 minutes to city while Maroubra does not have any train station. In both suburb, they just spend about 50 minutes to city by bus. The percentage drive to work in Maroubra is 55 % while in Kogarah is 45%. This means people in Kogarah use the puplic transport more than in Maroubra.
