Introduction
Language propels everyday life and keeps us in touch with one another. Through many historical reviews we have increasing our knowledge about the ways of using this language – telegrams, post, telephone, e-mail, instant messaging and the most infamous of all – text messaging. We talk to people in different forms every day, calling our parents to tell about new events in our lives or meeting and chatting with friends. Demands on our time have increased because of this neediness in talking, and so we use shorter words and shorter sentences. We talk so much that we seem to be running out of time to do just that. It all seems so impersonal when we have to rush away to get to the next conversation. We become some sorts of machines, by how much talking we want, and need, to do it. And so because of this reason we use Slang in our conversations. Maybe someone think that use slang has bad influence on our lives, but I think that is some of the ways of development our connection through the conversations.
Slang in our life
Only a few years ago, no one knew what slang was and how it use. Nowadays everybody use it in every day live, text messages and just in oral speech. First of all slang involves using a phone, or other device, to send a text message to another mobile device. In other words, it is sort of like instant messaging for your phone. Maybe you use slang, because you are using a telephone, you don 't usually have a full keyboard at your device. Instead of it, you have to type your message using the numbers on your phone, each of which is associated with a letter. To save time and energy, hundreds of different texting slang words and abbreviations have come to help us

Language has changed so much over time, in good and some bad ways. Today we have so many different definitions to language, most definitions depend on our culture, and others come from the way we live our every day life as an individual. Language to me is not only the way that we speak or write, language is the way we present our thoughts to other people. I say that it 's not only about writing or speaking to one another, because today we have many other ways of communicating with other people all around the world, whether that is in person or it is with someone thousands of miles away. A huge example of this, would be with all the new and improved technology that we have…

“The use of texting and Facebook and Twitter and other sites as a form of communication is eroding people’s ability to write sentences that communicate real meaning and inhibit the art of dialogue,” Saunders Medlock says. “It also allows people to communicate without ever seeing each other or hearing a voice, and this has a…

Feed depicts a futuristic dystopia in which technology not only surrounds humans at all times, but it is literally built in to many a human head. For a novel published as recently as 2002, it is not hard to find similarities to the technological boom we are experiencing in the real-world twenty-first century, with more and more emphasis on online networking and interaction and increasing ease of use and high-speed accessibility. The language used in Anderson’s novel reflects on the substantial decline of traditional communication and the value of social interaction due to an abundance of technology.…

As a child, we always pick up habits of our parents and those we hold dear even if we don’t pick up the exact same habit we pick up something that is similar to them. One of the ways that children are heavily influenced by their parents is through language. The one speaks tells a lot about them, one's choices of words, how they react tells what type of person you are. It all comes down to one vocabulary. Whether we are speaking colloquially to a friend or to a professor one vocabulary has a huge influence on our choice of words.…

Some people argue that texting or other web based interactions can be creative forms of language use. Others believe that people only use these forms of communication due to laziness, or just lack of knowledge of the English language. In my opinion; texting is a mixture of both. Common ‘text language’ includes abbreviating many different words, which in my opinion requires a certain level of intellect and knowledge of the English language to be able to do in the first place. However, I also understand that this language is becoming so common and accepted to an extent that people are learning the abbreviations as a substitute of learning the full English terms.…

Today’s language shows us a lot about our time era and time eras before us. How everything is arranged, pronounced and broken down helps us realize how different language helps change the mood and attitude of a time era. Back in the day everything was smooth and connected most people used big words and proper grammar all the time no matter the situation. But today words are short and choppy, if you say something out of context it’s no big deal, if you create your own “slang” no one cares. In today’s society people take words for granted and don’t take the effort to learn them and use them correctly. I think that we are living where there is less regard for precision in language.…

In Crystal’s essay “Texting” he gives this style of communication a name “Textspeak.” He poses the question: “Will Textspeak have an effect on the language as a whole?” This is unlikely.”(Pg. 246:14) his belief is this style of communication is only purposeful for the use of a certain type of electronic communication where the space to convey a message is limited. (Pg. 246:14). In my opinion, technology will not change spoken language, but is relational language concomitant to spoken and written language.…
