Abstract
Years ago, the vision of a robot in an operating room was just a dream, yet Fiction behind of a TV or movie screen. Now in the middle of the 21st Century we have certainly materialized that vision. The Da Vinci prostatectomy has become the number one choice for diagnosed prostate cancer patients and physicians. There a lot of treatments for prostate cancer. However, surgeons around the world have agreed that the robotic surgery in the most efficient and precise. Studies have shown that experienced surgeons have achieved excellent results in removing prostate cancer with minimal side effects. Technology has turned in our favor in the fight of this terrible disease.

Technology had advanced tremendously. Years ago, the vision of a robot in an operating room was just a dream, yet Fiction behind of a TV or movie screen. Now in the middle of the 21st Century we have certainly materialized that vision. Our scientists’ have introduced us to the “Da Vinci”. Prostate cancer is a disease that affects 30% of men in United States every year. There are many treatment and options to fight this terrible cancer, but physicians and surgeons agreed that the one and most efficient treatment is the prostatectomy. Prostatectomy is define as a the surgical removal of a part of the prostate gland [ (Elservier, 2006) ].Therefore, The Da Vinci prostatectomy has become the number one choice for diagnosed prostate cancer patients and physicians. Because it is known as precise, the time of recovery, and the side effects are minimal.
The prostate is a gland in the male reproductive system located just below the bladder and in front of the rectum. It is about the size of a walnut.
