Due to the murder rate and the random gun violence in the United States; it has given anti-gun lobbyists, and anti gun groups a foot in the door, to amend the constitution. Before our constitution was amended so many times, the second amendment stated clearly, that “all men have the right to own and bear arms.” As an American I am very big on the constitution, and keeping our rights, as designed by our forefathers. The reasoning behind this is if everyone has a gun, we can defend the country we all love so much. There are so many countries that do not allow their citizens to carry, or own guns. Switzerland also has a high degree of gun control, like the U.S. Switzerland keeps a relatively small army, but relies on its militia for its national defense. Almost all men in Switzerland, when turning eighteen, are issued a fully automatic, military assault rifle and 72 rounds of ammunition. By law they... [continues]
