Serial killer is a term describing a type of killer who kills a number of people over a long period of time. They are generally male and motivated by a variety of psychological urges primarily power. The United States Bureau of Justice Statistics defines a serial killing as involving the killing of several victims in three or more separate events. They are distinguished from spree killers in that they have rest periods between killings. Serial killers have been shown to have certain traits early on that may be warning signs including fire starting, invariably just for the thrill of destroying things, and cruelty to animals. Most children can be cruel to animals, such as pulling the legs off of spiders, but future serial killers often kill larger animals, like dogs and cats, and frequently for their solitary enjoyment rather than to impress peers and bedwetting beyond the age when children normally grow out of such behavior. Craig Price also known as the Warwick slasher born August 1974 is a serial killer from Warwick, Rhode Island. He was arrested in 1989 for four murders committed in his neighborhood. His first murder was committed when he was only thirteen years old. His previous arrest record only had petty theft on it so the question is was there warning signs to this child being mentally disturbed? This is the story of the horrific crimes Craig Price committed and confessed to. On September 4, 1989, Marie Bouchard went to check on her daughter Joan Heaton, 39, and her two grandchildren, Jennifer, 10, and Melissa, 8, at their home on Metropolitan Drive in the Buttonwoods area of Warwick, R.I. She was concerned because she hadn’t heard from them over the Labor Day weekend. Maries other daughter, Mary Lou, accompanied her to Joan’s house.
