“Pursuit of Happyness”
In the beginning of the movie we notice that Chris Gardner is an independent sales man. As a sales man Chris requires good interpersonal skills in order to communicate and persuade potential clients to buy his bone density scanners. Chris always talks eloquently and clearly preventing his clients from becoming confuse. We can also observe that Chris has great interpersonal skills when he thinks to himself about his life and where he wants to be. Chris faces many difficult choices manages to think through them. The most noticeable non-verbal communicational action is the handshake. Handshakes are very representative of individuals personality, we notice that confident businessman also grab the shoulder when saying goodbye. In addition eye contact is very important to make good impressions on others, it shows confidence. One of the less noticed non-verbal communication skills is the smile. A smile shows people you are interested and happy to talk to them. A smile also inspires other to enjoy talking to you. Happiness in my opinion is a very complex thing in my case I do not truly know what will bring me happiness. However in the short term getting into a good college, getting good grades and having a good social life are all the thing I want. So far my I’ve accomplished 2/3 of my list college is next but I believe the list will grow once I’m there. In the future I think a great possibility is that I will want to settle down have a family and live on a great neighborhood. Like Chris I plan on being perseverant and doing all I can to achieve it.
