The Purpose of Education
There are several purposes of education. The soul purpose of education is to educate all students and give everyone equal opportunity as a means to succeed in life. Through knowledge and skill, all individuals can achieve greatness. In addition, common values such as punctuality, following rules, cooperation, learning to work and get along together as well as a sense of responsibility are all-important factors of education. The combinations of knowledge and skills as well as the common values will help our young students bloom into adults and become responsible and productive citizens.

Equal opportunity to all individuals is very important in Education. It is only fair that everyone, regardless of race and ethnic background, should all have an equal opportunity to succeed in life. Without an equal opportunity, many minorities will fall through the cracks in the school system or drop out because they will have a harder time keeping up with their peers in school.

In addition, providing the necessary knowledge and skills are another important factor of education. The more knowledge and skills a person receives the better chance at achieving upward mobility. The success of an individual depends on the amount of education he or she attains. Like the authors stated, People who acquire more diplomas get better jobs.

It seems to me that education has a two-fold function to perform in the life of man and in society: the one is utility and the other is culture. Education must enable a man to become more efficient, to achieve with increasing facility the legitimate goals of his life.

Education should not just be about the “system” or the schools. It should be about drawing on the skills and knowledge that are within our local communities, enabling our children to learn from what has gone before to ensure that they enhance their own future.

When we are old, we begin to evaluate the whole life of ourselves and then leave life...
