“Silks and satins, scarlet and velvet, put out the kitchen fire” is one of the proverbs in a yearly almanac published by Benjamin Franklin who had many talents of American. This proverb of his has valuable as a living truth that wealth make losing happiness. We know that “silk and satin” were two fabrics precious and luxurious, are more the rich the most favorite because of the soft and smooth of it. “Scarlet” was a type of fine and expensive woolen cloth common in Medieval England. “Velvet” is a type of woven tufted fabric; people often say smooth like velvet. The four this kind represents the beauty, seduction, charismatic everyone and wealthy. Besides, “the kitchen fire” in proverb helps us to associate a wife to cook delicious dishes in the kitchen for her husband, this image represents for a happy families. However, the wealthy make losing happiness of family, the woman does not more in the kitchen cooking; instead, they go to eat in a place luxury and do not the family meals. Like “silk and satin, Scarlet and velvet” make put out “the kitchen fire”. In conclusions, “Silks and satins, scarlet and velvet, put out the kitchen fire” is a good proverb. It’s encourages us do not because the rich that lost family love.

He want say: We all make mistakes, need to seek forgiveness and to persist devilish means to not atone for mistakes...
