When it is a chance to invest, the owner must want to have the latest technology to support your business, special for the production enterprise. Technical innovations are needed, but they also have to be proven in the industry. Most of companies pay attention to technical innovations and advanced equipments. Since the 80th of 20 century, the development of computer technology, sensor technology, frequency conversion technology bring huge change for the automation of every industry, which may enhance the productivity and product standardization. The quick development of automation changes the world industry and enterprise’s management and operation. Just so, numbers of enterprises one after another invest kinds of automation device to enhance their productivity and efficiency. Because advanced technology may provide higher productivity, better product quality, and stronger competitiveness so as to change enterprise’s destiny and delight future. It is out of question that the introduction of automation quickens the improvement economy and society not only to enhance productivity. In a word, automation is welcome by almost enterprise(R Burrows, 1998). Bloomintex, as a medium sized chemical production manufacture, also chosen to buy some new advanced machines in order to keep up with other industries. Prior to any investment, careful consideration and risk analysis are made. Recovery boiler experts at Stora Enso know exactly what to assess and follow. The availability of automation plays a core role when securing the process in the recovery boiler. Unnecessary shutdowns are to be prevented. Effective leadership is a personal role that requires the blending of motivational, strategic and management skills to align focus, energy and drive whilst creating a culture that encourages individual thinking and attainment. Ultimately leadership is about pushing ideas and thoughts forwards, shouldering responsibility and unlocking hidden drivers and aspirations to bring out the confidence of others. Adaptive Leaders must model new behaviors and embrace learning and risk taking as fundamental competencies. And foster these adaptive capacities in those they work with If the recovery boiler stops, nearly the whole integrated mill would be out of operation in a couple of days. The old Dramatic XD automation system was delivered nearly 20 years ago to the mill. It has been a reliable system throughout the years. Now, however, it was the right time to get a new system to improve efficiency. After it takes use of them, the company changes much from every aspects including production, management, organization system and culture, and so on. Some of them are better than before, however, some is worse than before. Its productivity was not improved as expected, and even the management team in the top rank is dissatisfied with the result so much and is considering re-selling or renting those new machines out. For many of them disagreed with the project of automation at the beginning. However, it is not the automation machine’s mistake; there must be some questions in the company. Here, we discuss the change of the company and how to face such situation, after introduce the new equipments from several aspects (M Peters,2001). Task 2.1 : Leadership approaches used and their effectiveness For the Bloomintex, since introduce the new equipment, the work and role leader team have changed to extent. Effective leadership is a personal role that requires the blending of motivational, strategic and management skills to align focus, energy and drive whilst creating a culture that encourages individual thinking and attainment.
