Summary:

Angela Bennett is a software analyst .One day, Angela and his co-worker Dale discover a game containing a backdoor to a new computer security system called "Gatekeeper", that is suspicious. They agree to meet, but while Dale is flying overnight in his private plane, it crashes.
The next day, she travels to Mexico for a vacation. She meets Jack Devlin. That evening Jack pays a mugger to steal Angela's purse, to get the disk which contains the disk that Dale gave to her. Jack and Angela sleep together on his speedboat. When Jack steps away Angela discovered his gun. Angela knocks Jack out and retrieves his wallet and the disk. While escaping she crashes into rocks. She awakens in a hospital and learns the disk was damaged.
When Angela returns to her hotel the desk worker tells her she checked out. She is also presented with a temporary Visa with the name "Ruth Marx" on it. Desperate to return home, Angela signs the form.
Angela's car is missing at the airport and her house is empty and up for sale. When the police ask for identification, Angela gives them the "Ruth Marx" Visa, and one of the policemen calls it in. During Angela's confrontation with the police Jack uses a laptop to add crimes to the police files for "Ruth Marx".
Angela steals the real estate agent's cell phone and flees. Angela contacts her former lover, Alan to help her.
Angela discovers a government file about Bergstrom. The file shows that there was no sign of HIV in his autopsy. She tracks her impostor logging into the Gatekeeper software. She determines the leader of the Praetorians is Jeff Gregg, the CEO of the company that created the Gatekeeper software. Bergstrom opposed the Gatekeeper program, and Gregg had his... [continues]
