The movie and the book that I selected for the discussion is “catch me if you can” and “iron man”(2000). This 2 is based on different story line no matter in time, place, scene and theme, but the most that lured me to pick them out as a discussion is the character and personality.
The book that I choose is “iron man”(2000) and the movie I selected is “catch me if you can”. The similarities of both of them are the character and personality. The movie “catch me if you can” is base on true story of Frank Abagnale who is an American security consultant and former check confidence trickster, forger and impostor. He became infamous in the 1960s for passing bad checks worth about $2.5 million in 26 countries over the course of five years. During this time, he used at least eight aliases to cash bad checks and acted by Leonardo De Caprio. On the other hand, “iron man” is a superhero which cons government money to invent his own weapon to protect his own country, at the end he against the law of the government and use the weapon to attack the government. In between the superhero war is call “civil War”.
Besides that, the similarity both of the character is they are born with outstanding and super genius thinking. Frank from the book “catch me if you can” is obviously smart and genius. With his age of 15 years old, he manages to make a fake certificate and get trough to be a co-pilot. Frank, meanwhile, has not only switched to becoming a doctor and a Louisiana lawyer, he succeeds to steal bank’s money more than million dollars. On the other hands, Iron man(stark) is smart either, he create his own weapon as to protect himself. He alone can invent several of powerful weapons. He made his own suit which every weapon from his suit is a tiny size but can cause a huge damage.
The other similarity is Frank fallen in love with a girl named Brenda. Carl tracks him to his engagement party where Frank admits the truth about himself to Brenda and asks her to run away with him... [continues]
