In your view, which is the single most important threat facing mankind today, and is there anything the transport sector can do to mitigate this threat?
Introduction
With the rapid development of modern society, mankind is facing more problems than ever before; therefore, it is a high priority to identify what the single most important threat to mankind today is, in order to seek out a possible solution to mitigate this threat.
From global warming to an explosive increase in world population; from environmental pollution to the spread in epidemic disease; from the global recession to terrorism, all of these threaten our society and mankind. However, when we have to prioritize all of the above problems, I personally believe that global economic issues may be recognized as the imperative threat to our present society, of which individual countries’ economic protectionism would be the single most important threat to mankind today.
This essay will detail why protectionism becomes the most serious threat to mankind as well as how it harms the world’s economies and society, and finally make recommendations for improvement through the possible solutions in the transport sector.
