PERSONAL BACKGROUND

My most inspiring person is my adviser for two consecutive years, Ms. Juvie Joy Abad y Buhain, 32 years old, born on June 29, 1982 from Tanza, Cavite. She is currently one of the instructors at Cavite State University – Rosario and a part-time teacher at STI College – Rosario. She became an Accounts Receivable Analyst at Kraft Foods Phils. Inc. and Frontline Associate and Branch Head at Western Union. Her motto in life is “It is better to sail and meet your ship than to wait and let it pass by”. According to her, if you want to achieve something, go for it and do your best to reach your dreams.

She have a talent in drafting and has planned to take up Bachelor of Science in Architecture but was forced by her brother who wants her to be a CPA Lawyer and so she took up Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and graduated at San Sebastian College Recoletos in Cavite City.

She believed that her top accomplishments are, first, when she won the first place in essay writing contest during high school. St. Francis School is very particular in grammar and winning in such contest is fulfilling. Second, when she was awarded Leadership Award wherein she worked hard to achieve it. Lastly, when she graduated her Master’s Degree because not everyone can pursue and attain such degree.

Her hobbies are painting, playing piano and guitar and playing badminton. Her future plans are to take up Doctorate in Business Administration and to migrate in Canada with her partner.

1. What are the qualities he/she possesses that made to consider him/her as your most inspiring person? Accessible She is approachable not only to students but to everyone in campus.

See Cook v. Johnson, 37 Wn.2d 19, 221 P.2d 525 (1950). A one-sided contract is one in which a guarantee is given in return for a demonstration or avoidance. Here, Browning gave Johnson a guarantee to pay $40,000 in return for Johnson's demonstration of surrendering the agreement of offer. Adequacy of consideration in one-sided contracts is talked about by Professor Williston in his treatise, Contracts § 102 (3d ed. 1957). There he demonstrates that the prerequisite of adequate consideration to bolster a guarantee is met by a hindrance brought about by the promisee (Johnson) or an advantage got by the promisor (Browning) at the solicitation of the promisor. "That impairment endured by the promisee at the promisor's solicitation and as the cost for the guarantee is adequate, however the promisor is not profited, is very much settled." Williston, supra. This has been the law in Washington for more than 50 years. Harris v. Johnson, 75 Wash. 291, 294, 134 Pac. 1048 (1913). The inquiry then turns into the way of a burden. Impediment is characterized by Williston as the surrendering of "something which quickly earlier thereto the promisee was advantaged to hold, or doing or avoiding accomplishing something which he was then favored not to do, or not to cease from doing." Williston, supra, § 102A. We have as of now had event to quote this definition with endorsement. Luther v. National Bank of Commerce, *149 2 Wn.2d 470, 483, 98 P.2d 667 (1940). We…

A person may say that he is successful even he don’t have everything that a typical person yearn to acquire, as long as he is happy with his achievements in life. Moreover, the success of a person must not be enjoyed alone, but it must be shared with everyone around him. Ultimately, if he came to a point that he already attained what he aimed, he must not forget to recognize the guidance and support of God as well as of those who were the reason what and where he is…
