The Most Beautiful Place
The most beautiful place (Alex)

The most beautiful place for me is Spain. When I was eleven years old, my mother and I first

went abroad. Mom and I both love to travel. Before that we visited several neighboring countries

that were part of the USSR, because we do not need a visa to travel there. Those countries are

almost the same as my Kazakhstan, everywhere people understand the Russian language,

architecture and lifestyle in them the same. But I knew that in Spain, everything will be different.

Before the flight, think a lot about Spain and trying to imagine it, I was a little scared. But

looking at my mother, I was happier, because it is not terrible, on the contrary she would quickly

fly there.

Arrived in Spain, I was amazed the splendor of the entire subject there. Everything was so

different compared to my country and people, starting with a huge beautiful airport and ending

roadside cafes. People seemed to me more relaxed and happy. All the people dressed decently

and in good taste, even if they were going to buy some bread. They were smiled, not even

familiar people. Their at once I saw a drunk people, they did not do anything wrong as do drunk

people in my country, they sat together in silence and watched the sunset. At that moment for the

first time in my life I really felt civilization.

My mother loves all sorts of excursions, and so in every country in every city we go on an excursion. early childhood I was bored and I did not understand why they need it, but now I am very grateful to my mother that I learned a little more. History and architecture is striking in its beauty and splendor of old times. Walking around the city, creates a sense of transfer time in the past, there are entire streets have not changed since the last century. Huge castles and walls that once protected the city are still standing. Deserve special attention girls of Spain, because they unrealistically beautiful. Many tan

I was very interesting doing this assignment. I learned a lot watching people on how they dress, act or interact with others. In this assignment I watched people at my work which is a restaurant on the nonverbal codes and messages. In this area workers are supposed to give a certain standard on which people are pleased with in the end. In their own area they are supposed to keep up with their own work load. Which is taking care of the guests in their area, taking care of their work area, keeping stock up, etc. This observation was taking during their busier hours with are the weekends during 7pm-9-pm. The tables were well lit with candles and had the proper condiments needed. The tables were set close together so people had to sit in a close area. The décor was nice and accommodating. Overall the setting was nice and professional. I would imagine a lot of people would enjoy this scenery because of how hip but cool it is and still be professional.…

Iquitos, Peru. One of the most diverse places I have ever traveled too. With the Amazon rainforest surrounding the land, only being able to reach the city by plane or boat. One of the big things that I remember from the city is that almost all of the cars were motorcycles except for the taxis. That was a feature that made this place unlike no other.…

“We shape our buildings; thereafter they shape us” - Winston Churchill. The first question a child asks in first day of school is “why do we study?” Parents will simply explain how studying helps understand life. It also helps understand one another. Most importantly, it helps learning other’s achievements that were made in the past to help us develop our own ideas and thoughts. Why do we study history? And why is it so important? Professor David Crabtree, professor at Gutenberg College, states, “It has been said that he who controls the past controls the future. Our view of history shapes the way we view the present, and therefore it dictates what answers we offer for existing problems.” Therefore, history is what shaped the past and causes the present and will carry the future to where it will be. History changed the world of architecture. All revolutions, the wars, change of land ownerships and other significant events happened in the past shaped the world of architecture to what it became…

    Heritage vs History

As a society we are always looking to the past for many reasons, to learn from our mistakes, successes, experiences, to have a better understanding of where you come from, the list goes on. Society takes a personal view on what is or isn’t historical and what makes something important or not. There are two ways to distinguish the past, history and heritage. The history tends to be the cold hard facts, the truth with no emotion, no personal reference. Heritage has more depth and relation to certain events, people, and society. There are many examples of this throughout history, architecture is no exception and when it comes to preservation these issues tend to come up and decisions have to be made about what is important to remember and pass on to next generations.…
