The Job I Like the Most
Why I Like Working At Clementon Park and Splash World

In the summer time college students need a job. I got a job at Clementon Park and Splash World as a security guard. I enjoy myself working there. Clementon Park and Splash World is more than just a workplace. It’s like your home. The guest and employees are your family. I like working at Clementon Park and Splash World because it is friendly, flexible hours and easy.

It’s easy with being a security guard because my post is at the front. There I check bags and hand stamps. When I check bags I am usually looking for outside food, beverages and weapons. Clementon Park and Splash World don’t allow outside food because we don’t make as much money and don’t meet our quota for the month because we allow outside food. We don’t allow outside beverages because of issues in the past of guest bringing liquor into the park inside of water bottles, juice bottles and even baby bottles. I also check hand stamps for the guest to re-enter the park. But I have to be careful because people do hand stamp transfers. Which means we will stamp their hand going out to re-enter but that guest will meet up with a friend and put his/her hand on to the friends while the ink it still wet and now that person has a hand stamp to enter the park.

Working at Clementon Park and Splash World is very friendly. We as employees all get along very well. We are kind and respectful to one another and their feelings. If there was a time an employee was in need,we were right there to help. The supervisors are very understanding when you run into a problem that you can’t come in or even if you have to leave early. Each supervisor for the departments makes sure employees are well taken care of. The guests are nice. When guest come to the park. I have to check their bags. They don’t give me a hard time to do my job.

At Clementon Park the hours are flexible and convenient. When we make our schedule, they try to work around the things we

Before working at La Vitas II, I used to work at shop rite as a cashier. Even though a cashier and a waitress are very different, I know I learned a lot from there that I still use today as a waitress. Being a cashier at a super market makes you learn a lot about dealing with people on a day-to-day basis. Not everyone is good at working with the public because people can be very rude and most of the time you can’t say anything back, you just need to smile and work the situation out to make the customer happy.…

Memorial Splash Park has gone through the early planning stages. It is now time to take what the committee has composed on paper, and turn it into a reality. The planning stages has taken a total of three months to accurately address timing, sitting/sizing, cost, potential funding, and community research for the park. Once those issues were calculated and discussed, then the additional issues of which park elements will be used, security, and maintenance of the splash park was addressed. The proposal of Memorial Splash Park has been presented to the board, as well as all research in regards to cost, sitting, sizing, funding options, equipment/labor needed, security, maintenance, and community surveys. The proposal was voted 6 to 1 in favor of construction of Memorial Splash Park. In thirty years’ time our city didn’t seem to grow like it should have. While the rest of the world was growing and improving, we were not. One thing this waterpark will do is promote growth and development. Since the announcement a few years ago, we have already developed much more. Home Improvement Stores, restaurants, hotels, newer gas stations, updated movie theaters are just a few of the new growth we’ve had. The worst job for me will be the factory job. I think I will hate to do that because the factory job is a very boring job, the worker needs to be sit or stand there to do the same thing over and over again everyday. Also, this job always come with a extra long working hours like twelve hours a day. That looks like a punishment for me. In the factory you only need to do some small easy thing for example passing thing form your left to your right or organize the staff make it in order. I can not do this, it will make me mad. I would like to move around and solve problems.…

If offered, would you take a position that required you to be on the job five to six – hour a day, and offered no wages or sick days? For me this job is being a good housewife and cook, although it’s the most difficult job to me. I liked it, and it became the best job. Since I was a little girl, my grandmother told me “If you want to be a smart wife and make your husband love you and interested, you should learn to be a good cook.” Since that time, I kept those words in my mind. Besides that, my husband is eating four to five meals in one day. He does not like routine in his food, so he wants to make a variety of different kinds of food for him without repeating any in the same day or week. Being a perfect cook was one of the most demanding and exhausting jobs I ever performed. Instead of a weekly paycheck, I get paid in the form of a smile and gratification which is a result of the wholehearted dedication when I make delicious food for my husband. As old women in my country say,” The best way and nearest road to a man’s heart is through his stomach.” Because I love him, I decided to do everything to reach for this road. So I learned how to use spices and flavoring. It was a very important tip because, if the food is without flavor, it will be without taste. One of the many benefits I get from this job is the sense of pride that I feel when I ever hear my husband talk about my cooking with his friend or his relatives, or when anyone of them asks me to help with their occasions. The second benefit, is discover a new ideas or kinds by trying to do various foods in the everyday, and the third interesting benefit I get, is that I win my husband’s admiration. Finally, it is the…
