The Importance of Reading
Reading is a very important part in our lives. Sometimes the importance of reading is difficult to express, but we can experience it by ourselves. We need to take time everyday and read at least 20 to 30 minutes a day in order reading can be our habit. We can get some benefits of reading such as giving a lot of knowledge, making smarter and helping to find a good job. By reading, we can get a lot of knowledge. The more we read, the more valuable pieces of knowledge we can add to our mind. We can get so much information by reading books, magazines, and newspapers. By reading, we can get information in any parts of world that we cannot see. Besides, reading can make us smarter. The mind is a muscle. It needs exercise. Reading is a very active exercise for our mind as opposed to watching TV or listening to music. Reading forces our brain cells to engage in activity as we paint an image in our mind about the things we are reading. Reading is a vital skill in finding a good job. Many well-paying jobs require reading as a part of job performance. There are many reports and memos which must be read and responded to. Poor reader takes the amount of time to understand and react in the workplace. People cannot work effectively if their reading skill is low. Reading can give many advantages to our lives such as to get knowledge, make us smarter, and help us find a good job. We can get the benefits if we experience it. We cannot get much just by read once or twice but regularly.
