The "Happily" Ever Afters
Snow White and the Seven Dwarves
Hi Hoe, hi Hoe
Snow White’s about to go
Because of unprotected sex
From her Seven Dwarves’ treks
They gave her AIDS
And now she fades
This is worse than the poisoned Apple from her mom
Which would have worked better as a bomb
But the Witch couldn’t get it from Suddam And there goes her Happily Ever After Cinderella & Alice in Wonderland Have you ever wondered why
Cinderella’s stepmom locked her high?
She must be contained within her cell because of Alice D. Alice was in Wonderland in a dark, dark cell.
She claimed that rabbits talked to her but even you can tell
That there was something wrong with her and she shared it with Elle. Ella claimed that there was one who came to her late at night.
This one had wings and shiny things that never gave a fright.
The pumpkin turned into a carriage and rats were horses, very white. This story she shared with stepmother about a Prince Charming
Made her step-family find Alice D. quite alarming.
But the story was one that kept Elle up at night hallucinating. And there goes her Happily Ever After Beauty and the Beast During the French Revolution, Belle was caught in a fight
In order to set it straight she brought her boyfriend to the scene.
But as the Beast came up to them, they saw he was no knight.
They charged Belle with bestiality when she was just a teen. They found that she had rabies from kissing her monster man
When they found her frothing in the mouth
So then they forged a plan
They had to kill the beast by turning him into jam. And there goes her Happily Ever After Sleeping Beauty
She claims to know you, she walked with you once upon a dream.
She said she know you, the gleam in your eyes are so familiar a gleam.
But we know it’s true that it’s only because she’s gone to extreme

Aurora’s been shooting heroine for a good long while
And she’s pretty much overdosed and covered in bile
That’s why she won’t wake

I feel that separates would be most likely to end in divorce. If they favor traditional gender roles and marriage, but they don't rely much on each other, then their relationship doesn't seem like it's going to continue. They may also not have much in common, they could have different interests or different friends they see. If they are married and living together, but don't feel very connected and they don't have much to talk about in order to avoid conflicts, then why bother being in the relationship? I think independents and traditionals are the least likely to end in divorce. Both of these two life partnerships have couples who are very committed to the relationship and are willing to respond to conflict. Independent couples could still…

Fairytales are one of the common understandings throughout the childhood of children in the United States. The Grimm’s Fairytales serve as a foundation to many of the stories that we grew up with. In the fairytales written by The Brothers Grimm, the role of women play the biggest part in each story; thus may be because that German women were the ones that were telling the stories or because the depiction of women in certain circumstances help get a lesson across. In these fairytales, women function as a mean to get a moral through to an audience. Woman are either portrayed as beautiful and naïve or beautiful and wicked. In the fairytales, not one woman is portrayed as just being mediocre. It is a women’s beauty that will help her attain what she wants or what she ultimately will be in life. It is a women’s duty, to be beautiful, passive, know how to clean and also be innocent, in order for her to live harmoniously throughout life.…

I’ve been asked what characteristics, beliefs and goals do I feel are important to become successful and happy in life. These are some ultimate questions that almost all of us have been asked many times whether it’s been through school, work, interviews, of simple talk between friends and family. Successful and happy most often mean you have a good base of wealth and accomplishments, smiling healthy happy family, a relatively non stressful and non demanding career. Who wouldn’t want that, but I think it goes much deeper then the money and magazine life. I believe it’s very important to have characteristics to find that happiness, but in order to have that first step, you need to know where your beliefs lie, and what is truly important. Those abstract things. Maybe love? Maybe curiosity?…

Children universally grow-up with stories of “Once upon a time..” and “Happily ever after..” and with the conception that you will meet a partner, fall in love, and live happily ever after. Margaret Atwood challenges this conception in her short story “Happy Endings”. “Happy Endings” is satirical because it mocks the common misconception that love and life conclude perfectly with “Happily ever after”. It is through Atwood’s unusual structure, minimalistic diction and use of dramatic irony that the idea of inexplicable happiness is challenged.…

    Happy Endings Conflicts

    • 938 Words

The conflict in a character’s life is what makes a narrative worth reading. Margaret Atwood’s “Happy Endings” proves this by setting up four plots with similar conflicts and characters that contrast with the beginning story, the life of a content couple who face no difficulties or excitements in life. The combination of structure, characters, and conflict create an overall unity in the divided work to prove the importance of tragedy, mania, loss, and growth. If Holden Caulfield applied himself in school and had a perfect family and social life, The Catcher in the Rye would be much less successful.…

HE that hath wife and children hath given hostages to fortune; for they are impediments to great enterprises, either of virtue or mischief. Certainly the best works, and of greatest merit for the public, have proceeded from the unmarried or childless men; which both in affection and means have married and endowed the public. Yet it were great reason that those that have children should have greatest care of future times; unto which they know they must transmit their dearest pledges. Some there are, who though they lead a single life, yet their thoughts do end with themselves, and account future times impertinences. Nay, there are some other that account wife and children but as bills of charges. Nay more, there are some foolish rich covetous men, that take a pride in having no children, because they may be thought so much the richer. For perhaps they have heard some talk, Such an one is a great rich man, and another except to it, Yea, but he hath a great charge of children; as if it were an abatement to his riches. But the most ordinary cause of a single life is liberty, especially in certain self-pleasing and humorous minds, which are so sensible of every restraint, as they will go near to think their girdles and garters to be bonds and shackles. Unmarried men are best friends, best masters, best servants; but not always best subjects; for they are light to run away; and almost all fugitives are of that condition. A single life doth well with churchmen; for charity will hardly water the ground where it must first fill a pool. It is indifferent for judges and magistrates; for if they be facile and corrupt, you shall have a servant five times worse than a wife. For soldiers, I find the generals commonly in their hortatives put men in mind of their wives and children; and I think the despising of marriage amongst the Turks maketh the vulgar soldier more base. Certainly wife and children are a kind of discipline of humanity; and single…

A human who haven't experienced confliction in his/her whole life is abnormal. Conflict is obviously a part of life. It exists as realism of any kinship and is not necessarily bad. Yes you heard it right, it is not necessarily bad. Some people say that confliction will ultimately lead to the demise of a relationship but come to think of it, having this proves that you and your partner don't live in one person's life. Meaning, you have the freedom to speak up about what opinion, perception is, which can create a deeper understanding, closeness and respect for each other. We all know that few people around the world can't say that they had a 100℅ successful, happy relationship. Looking at the high rate of separated couples will prove this. However, there are those couples who remained together for a number of years and your grandparents might be the examples of it. Taking the word forever literally will make you say no to the title of this essay but going beyond will make you say yes. Some says that love fades away once the couple realizes they are not compatible enough to make their relationship work and I completely object with that. Love never fades away, it is permanent and just get extremer and intenser at some point of our lives. Talking about separation, one can't completely undo his/her love to his/her partner after separating. It's just they lessen what they feel or how they care for them but still, there's a little feeling or little love beneath their hearts. Unless, that particular didn't really love his/her partner. Hm, so keep in mind that those individuals who say that forever does not exist are the ones who can't prove that it really exist.…
