The Future Kaitlyn Willis
My life as I know it right now is not in good shape. Sometimes I get in a depressed mood, thinking about my mom and not having a family to support me and that makes my whole day worse. It is looking up, though, but it is not the best. To turn things around, I have decided to try and better myself by coming to college to make my mom proud of me. In five years I hope that my life will have started, my career will be on its way, and I will have a wonderful family.
I am a 19 year old freshman at Texas A&M University-Kingsville and I am studying to become a nurse. When it comes to class work, I am doing fairly well. My favorite class is arts communications where I get to experience three parts of the art department in one semester. For this third of the semester I am in the drama portion, then the next third is music, and the last third is art. I plan on participating in several social activities in the upcoming weeks. In five years from now I will have graduated with honors with my bachelor’s degree in science and will have already started to find my career location. I will definitely keep in touch with all the friends I have made throughout my college career.
There are many things I am interested in and things I like to do. One of my all-time favorites is singing, it helps me get through and it calms me. Writing songs helps me out a lot, too, because I am expressing myself. It has helped me out a lot since my mom passed away. In the future I hope to maybe have some kind of side job teaching voice lessons. I may even go back to school to get my teaching degree to be a music teacher. It would help me still achieve what I want to with music.
My mom was a really great influence in my life. She pushed me to be anything I wanted to be. She always stood beside me no matter what, even if I was in the wrong. My mom did all she could to protect me in the world. I had a very sheltered...
