According to Mezirow learning occurs in four ways. The first Identifying the Problem, Second is confronting the problem, Three is finding the solution and Forth integration of knowledge. 1.Identifying the problem- Confronting the problem or identifying a problem is the first step toward solving it.

2.Confronting the problem¬- logical process as it takes a person through the possible reasons why the problem exists

3.Finding a solution- what has worked and hasn't worked in the past and what research and experts say are effective strategies, an individual weighs all of this information and makes a decision about what approach or approaches can solve the problem

4.Integration of knowledge- This is where you take what you have learned and put it into action.

When I was choosing a career path in my life I had to go thru the transformational learning process. I first had to decide what job I wanted this was identifying the problem which to me was one of the hardest steps I was torn between a few jobs in the health care field. Second confronting the problem this is when I considered the salaries of the jobs and also the benefits they offered. Third was where I had to fined the solution my solutions was to find a job that not only had a good salary but also had benefits and I would enjoy working for. Lastly I integrated the knowledge I gathered and applied for the jobs that best fitted my needs.
