TITLE: THE FACTORS INFLUENCE STUDENTS CUMULATIVE GRADE POINT AVERAGE (CGPA)

1.0 ABSRACT

Our research about the factors influences students Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA). The factors are gender, financial status, education level of parents and study time, which influence student’s Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA). This research is based on 30 respondents from University Tenaga Nasional which are from several courses, from Accounting, Finance, Human Resource, Marketing, and Entrepreneur Development.

Apart from that, our independent variable is Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) and our dependent variables are gender, financial status, education level of parents and study time. It is proven by the SPSS that these factors will influence students Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA).

2.0 INTRODUCTION

BACKGROUND OF THE RESEARCH

Students are main assets of Universities. The students performance which academic achievement plays an important role in producing the best quality graduates who will become great leader and manpower for the country, thus responsible for the country’s economic and social development. Thus, the gender plays an important role in influencing the CGPA of a student.
