When it comes to the statement about that whether the environmental issue is too complex to be handled by the individual, views differ greatly. Some people tend to believes that the easiest way to protect our environment should start from our government not from individuals, while others argue that this dilemma should be solved by individuals at first. After pondering over the issue, my personal experience and actual observations of life have led me to prefer the former one. The first and also foremost reason lied in the inevitable fact that policies can enforce people to follow the rules. Policies, laws or rules are the easiest way and more effective way to handle the environmental issue. I speak from my personal experience. Some national park inhibit for people to cook or take photo there. There is a warning sign over the park but no one notices it, and so did me. In order to avoid fines, every one starts to regulate their behavior in this protected area. Hence, I think the easiest way to notice people to handle about the environmental problem is by setting a policy.
Apart from what I have mentioned above, another equally important but opposite aspect is that sometimes people feel that's not their abilities to handle the environmental issue. Many people may think that's others' duties but not mine. In other words, they use a narrow and selfish way to think about this issue. A fitting example comes to my best friend, John.
