End of the Road
Growing up as a child I was always around speed and motors. I started riding dirt bikes and working on cars at the age of 5 years old. My father and older brother are complete gear heads and in turn I became fascinated also, with cars and speed. Therefore, every car I own I take very much pride into the modifications I put into them .but as of December 28th 2009 my whole perspective changed on motors and speed.
The next thing I know I’m screaming at the top of my lungs as the front end of my new car was smashed into the middle of the passenger side of the car sending it into another car sitting at a stop sign. My air bags deployed and all I remember was seeing the entire windshield shatter and go white. The next thing I know I’m facing oncoming traffic in a little field off the side of the road with my hood in my windshield and my motor on fire. My first reaction was to get as far away from the car as I could and call for help. I ran out of the car after releasing my seatbelt not even thinking if I was ok or not and an eye witness told me the cops were already on their way. (Fortunately for me there was a fire station/ cop station a half of a mile away.) I then called my dad to tell him my car was totaled and I didn’t know what was going on.
Next thing I know my dad is there and about 5 squad cars with 2 ambulances. I had a million things going through my head at once. Am I ok? How are the other people involved in the accident? I was walked over to the ambulance and put on a stretcher to go to the hospital and in the meantime I had found out that many people had heard about my accident already and had some close friends there by the time I was put in the ambulance. ambulance they did all their routine checks on me. Then when I think all is well, I’m going to be alright, I find out that the passenger in the Mercedes wasn’t so lucky and was pronounced dead at the scene and the driver was being... [continues]
