The effects of long term Heroin Abuse on Body

There are many reasons people chose to turn to drugs, curiosity and the need to get firsthand experience, to make themselves feel better, when they are sad, or in physical or mental pain. Sometimes problems become too much for people to handle and they turn to drugs. Drugs cures the curiosity of how it would feel to do drugs for the first time, it masks pain, and fogs over problems and everything in the world is great, for a while, but it always comes back and continued abuse may lead to tolerance or the need for higher drug dosages to produce an effect, it may also lead to addiction, which can push an abuser to seek out and take drugs compulsively. Drug addiction erodes a person's self-control and ability to make sound decisions, while sending intense impulses to take more drugs. So continued drug use leads to continued drug use.

One commonly used drug is heroin. Heroin comes from the opium poppy, a flower that grows in Asia, Mexico, and south America. As with most illegal drugs, heroin use has both short-term and long-term effects. Whether injected, snorted or smoked, heroin will begin to affect the body's central nervous system almost immediately after it is used. Heron is a depressive drug which means that it depress the central nervous system and all sensory path ways , it is an opium derogative witch places it in the family of powerful pain killers , and one of the most addictive drugs of all. Using this drug for even a small amount of time can leave a person powerless against addiction. The effects of heroin use are quite serious, it does not just cause addiction, it physically changes the brain and actually alters the way a person thinks. Users claim to experience a rush so pleasurable to them that it is all they can think about, and will do anything to feel it again and again, no matter what the cost, loosing things they own, there home, trust, family, even...
