After checking out www.optimo-it.com, I noticed a couple of things right away. First, there is a strong emphasis on the different technology solutions that the company offers its clients. These include, but are not limited to IT strategy, systems engineering and integration, mobile application development, and database design, development and administration. Each one of these solutions is designed to align with their respective clientele’s business goals and objectives in an effort to address the most complex technological challenges that the company may face. The next thing I noticed about the company was how diverse their client base was. They ranged from government agencies such as the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, to commercial clients like the Northeast Pennsylvania Center for Independent Living, to legal firms like Worldwide Insurance & Reinsurance Services. Working with such a wide variety of companies means that they have ties with multiple fields of expertise, which may further enhance their appeal to potential employers in the future.
I think having an internship at Optimo-IT would be an excellent opportunity to boost your resume and gain valuable hands-on experience. In addition to offering a marketing internship program, they offer both computer science and digital forensics internship programs as well. Networking with a diverse group of high-level professionals would certainly help you get your foot in the door in a multitude of different sectors. The practical exposure they say you will experience as an intern would also be invaluable to a college student such as myself.
