The hair is our crowning glory that holds true for most people. The way that we carry our hair can greatly affect the way that other people look at you. This is the reason why we need to take care of our hair. Our hair and scalp, just like our skin, needs special care and attention. One way of caring our hair is by using hair oil.
The calamansi, also known as the Philippine we need in this study are abundant in the Philippines. We can directly find them in our kitchen and in our backyards. The calamansi peelings that are commonly thrown away can be a very useful ingredient for the hair oil.

    To start with, I will provide you with some knowledge about the structure of hair. Hair is made up of two basic parts: The follicle, which is the actively growing root or base of a hair containing DNA and living cells, and the shaft, which is a strand of hair compose of a protein called keratin. With a macroscopic view of hair you can see differences in color, length, and where it is curly, wavy, or straight, but that only scratches the surface of what you can see on hair. With a microscopic view you can see the medullary index (the ratio of diameter of the medulla to the diameter of the hair), cuticle type, cortex color, diameter of the hair, and much more.…
