In the wake of 1 Malaysia, education plays a vital role to meet the aim and targeted goal. To meet the requirement of this assignment, I have interviewed a few teachers and a principal from Sek. Sri Utama on their views. I recorded their opinion using the tape recorder fearing I might lose some points. And then, I put it in writing by listening to the recordings several times. Sometimes I also note down some points for a better understanding. Ministry of education together with goverment work to widen the quality of education. They also strive to fill the gap between the educated and less educated. The Education NKRA under the Government Transformation Programme (GTP) has been established to improve students’ performance in schools in addition to providing them with access to better quality education academically. There are four sub-NKRAs aimed at increasing the enrolment of pre-schoolers aged four and five, ensuring all regular schoolchildren can read and count after the first three years of school, developing High Perfor-mance Schools, and offering incentives to principals and headmasters based on the performance of their schools. The objective is to improve the students’ performance holistically, intellectually, emotionally, spiritually and physically. The improvement at all levels is very important for developing our human capital to transform Malaysia into a high income nation by 2020. “Well I feel affordable education means everyone able to get to study. Financially, there shouldn’t be anymore worries. Apart from that, Minister of Education, Tan Sri Dato' Haji Muhyiddin bin Mohd Yassin will be heading to personally see that targets prescribed within the NKRA is attained. They have come with (National Result Key Area)NKRA where the number of 4 to 5 years old children have to be registered in pre school monitored.
