The Disney World Adventure
Since I was a child, I always dreamed of visiting Disney World, so I planned to make that trip when I arrived in the United States. Finally, last summer my sister and I had a chance to fulfill my dream when we bought plane tickets for Orlando. “Don’t forget to take your camera,” my sister shouted from the living room, as if it were the most important part of all our baggage. We departed from Philadelphia International Airport, looking forward to having a lot of fun seeing Mickey Mouse, Magic Kingdom with Cinderella's Castle, visiting Epcot Park, and having a ride on the unique Twilight Zone Tower of Terror.
My sister and I woke up at six o’clock on the morning of our first day in Orlando after a sleepless night. Our first choice was to see Epcot Park, one of the numerous theme parks that make up Disney World. We were amazed to experience a World's Fair atmosphere with pavilions of countries representing nations from around the globe, as well as attractions featuring state of the art technology. There was a lot of diverse entertainment such as rides for kids with Disney characters, flying in the sky and space-flying simulator, a huge selection of restaurants, and beautiful tropical gardens with sweet fragranced flowers all centered on a glistening lagoon. At the end of the day, we saw a spectacular show on the World Showcase Lagoon with all the Disney characters. It seemed like people were celebrating Christmas, but even something more important. My sister and I celebrated feeling like kids again, with no worries, only unlimited happiness.
On the second day, we decided to see Magic Kingdom, in which many people say “the true spirit of Disney magic can be experienced simply by stepping foot inside it”. There was music from Disney cartoons playing all around. “Don’t you feel like you are a part of a fairy-tale?” my sister asked with a smile. I felt like I had become a seven-year-old girl, wandering around and trying to find new adventures, like Alice

When I think of Disney World I see it as this monument that has a place in all childhood memories. These memories include a lot of happiness and most importantly, fun with the family. After all of the time that I took trips to Disney, I can still clearly see the smiling children gushing over their favorite Disney characters and the equally excited parents who had to speed walk just to keep up with them. Another memory that is evident, is that feeling of nerves a person feels when they’re about to get on a scary rollercoaster, but also that feeling of accomplishment that comes after once they’ve conquered it. Disney World represents home to me not only because of the great experiences that come with it, but because it is located in my hometown Orlando. I have to admit I do miss living there and knowing that Disney World is not too far away always gives me an excuse to visit. As a kid, I would always go on trips to Disney World and its image is a fond reminder of all those happy memories and easier…

I would like to ask the audience: When you think of a vacation in Disney World, what comes to mind? John Cloud from Time International stated it correctly when he said “You’re thinking roving packs of sunburned children who let their ice cream drip on your toes as you wait to ride Space Mountain. You're thinking overpriced hot dogs and hotel pools crammed with little kids leaving warm spots. All true, but the city has also quietly become a favored destination for adults traveling without kids”. I have been to Disney World over 30 times in my life. I have essentially grown up with Disney World so I know the best places to visit as a child and an adult. There are a variety of different exciting activities offered all within Walt Disney World. In a publication by MyPrimeTime.com, a website that offers inspiration and tips to adults, the author says that Disney World “offers adults, even without kids, so many recreation options that they can't possibly do them all in just a week… However, it's not easy to find information about [Disney World] that isn't geared for kids or families”. I am here today to show you that adults can have as much fun, if not more fun than, children at Disney World. I will begin with “Five-star Amenities”, then “Spots & Recreation”, and finally I will end with “Special Events”.…

I can remember every detail about this particular holiday, obviously it had such a huge impact on me. I recall visiting Disneyland and meeting all the Disney princesses I was so gobsmacked. It was all a 5 year old little girl could dream of! I would clutch my big sisters hand and jump up and down with excitement. One of my fondest memories was doing the princess tour, my sister was 12 and she just did anything to make her little sister happy so obviously she joined…

When we think Disneyland, we think the happiest place on earth. For those who think this is an exaggeration, let me shed some light on why this place is magical for me. Disneyland to me means family traditions with a heart full of happiness and love. When you first enter Disneyland, you are overcome with a vast amount of emotions. I get a nervous feeling deep inside my gut. The excitement overwhelms me, knowing that in just a few small steps, I will see the castle at the end of Main Street. The smell of churros are in the air. The crowds are filled with children and parents. You can hear children’s laughter and excitement. And if you look closely, you can see Mickey and friends in the corner signing autographs and taking pictures. I close my…

It was a hot, sunny Monday morning, the big clouds in the sky looked as soft as cotton candy. It finally turned noon and our plane landed in the Disney run way. Not too far away, I could see the top of Cinderella’s castle, at that very moment I felt my heart skip a beat. Needless to say, my dream was starting to feel like a reality. I firmly grabbed my dad’s hand and dashed off the plane as if Cinderella was waiting for me outside. We rode the monorail to the Magic Kingdom theme park. Unfortunately, the ride there was longer than I had anticipated.…
