The Disadvantage In My Living City
In current rapidly developing society, cities have changed a lot within a few years and shown a big progress in urban development. I live in a city called Guangzhou, in the south of China, which is a modern city, busy and beautiful. In 2010, the Asian Game is going to be held in GZ, which is getting much more beautiful. However, there are still quite a few of disadvantages in this modern city, with which the citizen are very dissatisfied. The dissatisfactions are the capability of the supervision of the government; the protection of historic houses and the migrants.
Firstly, one of the disadvantage of my living city is the working capability of the government . It's inefficient and it sometimes annoys the citizens. Several months before holding the Asian Game, GZ is full of beatified project s like renovation of the buildings and remove the old stones on the roads. To move out all the old stones and put the new one, is an easy and quick job for the workers to do within a week, however, people can see the unpaved road after a few months. Because they are still paving the road. Due to the construction, people always need to walk on the rough and muddy sidewalk, as well as cars need to merge the road , which leads to the heavy traffic jams. It irritates the dwellers because of the unefficiency of the workers and the poor supervision of the government. Moverover, when the city is under a big reconstruction , for instance, repairing the roads, renovating the old building, a great deal of noise and air pollution have been generated. They affect the daily lives of the dwellers. Therefore, the government needs to do better and efficiently for the supervision meanwhile try not to bothder the residents.
Secondly, the lost of the historic building is another disadvantage, quite as much relate to the inefficiency of the government. When a city is developing in a high speed , more and more new...
