Abstract
Censorship control’s the free expression by suppressing the flow of information and opinion. Reasons for censorship are the need to uphold religion and morals, or the wish to prevent the organization of opposition to political authority. The effect is to strengthen conformity in thought and behavior. Not only authoritarian government’s censor nearly all democracies have laws which ban radio, television, performing arts and the internet expressions against the prevailing religion. Is this a act of democracy?   The freedom of speech in this country is becoming a illusion. When the freedom of expression is tampered with we the people need to speak out. This is the challenge of our time who will speak out against the system when it rolls back the date in time. Radio stations and television owners are getting weak in the kneels when its time to speak. The fine is becoming too much to bear for them so they are conforming to the system. This country has a chore valve of being the land of the free but if voices don’t speak out that will be a thing of the past.

In the early days when man first discovered the method to communicate by broadcast it was censored. The talk shows that aired were the entertainment of the day. America families would gather around the radio to listen to the drama that was broadcasted. Those voices shaped the views of that day. Censorship is a part of America culture. Its in everything we do from the time we were born, censorship is being imposed. The doctor made us scream and then we were silenced. Our parents introduced censorship in the way they taught us to behave in the public’s eye. Censorship is nothing more then control, the power to control an individual’s voice.
Parental control is it a form of censorship? Parents are the first to control the amount of a broadcast, the television, and Internet that the family is exposed too. To live in America and think that you are really free to speak your mind without consequence is like... [continues]
