(Biblical History and Greek Mythology)
“It takes a spark to create a fire, a stone to construct a building, twig to make a nest and a snow to make a snowman. It takes a great imagination to think where thus our world begun and how thus human kind commences.”
First comparison about the creation of the world and man based on Biblical History and Greek Mythology is the Love of God and the war of gods. The Love of God created the world for him to be happy; he created everything with pure Love. No other thing was in mistakes, everything in it is balance and stunning. He created Man so that there will be a steward who will care and treasure his wonderful creation. He is a selfless God. On the other hand, gods and titans created the world and man for them to rule and for them to be worship. There are good gods and titans who created the world, but there are also self-seeking ones. War was present because of hatred and jealousy. Their fight never ends.
Next thing is that in Biblical History, it started with God itself, through his own words and wisdom, he personally created everything. He is the start and the end, the Alpha and omega. While in the Greek Mythology, it all started with chaos and darkness till everything was born and created. Zeus designated the creation of man. Now, the ending is unclear where absence is the alpha and unknown is the omega.
God created woman because of man’s sadness. He created a partner that will help man to celebrate life and bring forth abundantly in the earth and multiply therein. He also created woman through man’s side to be equal with him, under his arm to be protected and near his heart to be loved. On the contrary, in Greek Mythology, Zeus created the first woman to punish humanity with the intention for man’s competition. It resulted to commotion where sexual apprehension occurred.
Lastly, I think, the common thing that the two shared is that they created everything...
