The Cause of the Civil War





A historian by the name of Shelby Foote said “The Civil War defined America for who we are good and bad.   Understanding America in the 20th century we must know and understand our past.   “To know the cross roads of our being”   This to me is the beginning of understanding a land One nation Under God,   Defending humanity for every human life past, present and future.

The real discovery of America began in (1861) The Cause

Men from every walk of life came to fight and defend what he thought was right, some would later become president of the nation, great military leaders, and known black history icon.   Abraham Lincoln, Frederick Douglass, Robert E. Lee, Ulysses S. Grant, and a host of lesser-known but equally vivid characters.
The breaking of dawn for the black man came in 1861, a life of work until the sun goes down no guarantee of family or relationship.   Born in a one room dirt shack and sold like a farm animal and the only thing better then slavery was death.
America dirty little secret was always before her making the constitution a lie, because all man where not created equal and slavery at the forefront.   Thomas Jefferson is quoted as saying slavery was like holding a wolf by the ears, you don’t like it but you don’t dare let it go.   In the North slavery was fading away.

A publication called the Liberator began to publish anti slavery articles calling slavery a sin and those who maintain it criminals.   The growing tension and disagreement between the North and the South continued to grow, the South defiantly refuse to give up the position of slavery.   The difference the North and the South is like day and night the north had acquire a enterprise spirit and the south still stagnant and still.   A white man John Brown openly committed his life to the abolishing of slavery.   White men lost there lives for what they believed to be a crime.   While others choose to fight one another even in the compounds of the...
