One reason why people wear a mask is to pretend to be someone or something else and for Pauline Breedlove, after marrying to Cholly Breedlove her world would change forever. At first, Cholly swept her off her feet, and she was in love with him. He was tender to her, he gave her the assurance that she was looking for in a man. Cholly overlook her disable foot and she enjoys his company because she felt comfortable and normal. Pauline was delighted by Cholly’s conservations since Pauline was from the country and Cholly was more of a city boy it was a different experience for Pauline because he brought laughter and joy to her life. They were young and their hearts were filled with enjoyed and they had decided to take on a new life together marriage of course.
Marriage is really about caring and sharing your life, feelings and emotions with someone you love until it starts to fade away. The Breedlove’s embark upon life’s reality where they lived in Ohio. Cholly maintain a job and Pauline continue her life by playing house, but that wasn’t enough to keep her busy.
