There are millions and millions of movies throughout the years. Everybody has multiple favorites but there is always that one movie that tops every other one. I have always watched movies as a child and even today as an adult I am always going to the movies and critiquing them. Throughout the years of all the films I have watched and encountered, the movie The Blindside has by far been my favorite of all times. The reason why I believe the blindside is such an amazing film is because it is based on a true story and the message of the movie is about a wealthy high-class family trying to help an innocent struggling young boy. I believe that caring is one of the best qualities to have as a person and the movie the blindside is about a nice loving family caring so much about a young boy that is a stranger to them, and the fact that they let him in their home is amazing. This movie shows that race, color, sex and gender are nothing and that everybody is equal and deserves an equal chance at an education and life itself. To me it was not about the actors, the fashion and the setting, it was the story line and the inspiration. The movie the blindside is based on a true story of Michael Oher, an African-American teenager who is taken in and eventually adopted by the Tuohy’s, a wealthy white family. Michael has no idea who his father is and his mother is a drug addict. Michael had barely any form of education and few skills to help him learn. Leigh Ann Tuohy soon takes charge, as it is her nature, ensuring that Michael has every opportunity to succeed. When he expresses an interest in football, she goes all out to help him. They not only provide him with a loving home, but they also hire a tutor to help him improve his grades to the point where he would qualify for an athletic scholarship.
