Pakistan is good in manufacturing of courser/heavier weight goods with pre dominantly cotton fiber contents. REVIEW ON PAKISTAN EXPORTS JULY-JUNE ( 2006-07)

Garments Export of Garments increased by 9.3%, contributing 19.7% in the total Pak export during the period 2006-07. a) Hosiery Witnessed increasing trend touching $ 1961 Million in the period under review (2006-07) as compared to $1751 Million last year. Upward trend was also seen in exports to USA, U.K, Netherlands Spain and Canada Decreasing trend in the markets of Japan , Germany Italy U.A.E. and Saudi Arabia. b) Ready Made Garments an increase of $ 75 Million i.e. 5.7% was recorded in the export of the readymade garments. The exports, which were $ 1310 Million in 2005-06, came up to $ 1385 Million in 2006-07 Exports to USA Germany, U.K, Italy and Spain 2006-07. USA, Germany U K showed an increasing trend. Major decreases were witnessed in the markets of U.A.E., Saudi Arabia , Sweden, Norway and Iran....
