ABSTRACT:
This study looks into the increasing emphasis on E-commerce and how it has created a greater focus on the technical and non-technical barriers’ affect on the adoption of E-commerce. The study is going to examine the extent to which technical and non-technical barriers hinder the adoption of E-commerce among the students of the German University.

The literature review has been divided into nine sections starting with a brief introduction. The first section will focus on the Internet and E-commerce. The second looks into the major types of E-commerce, in specific business-to- consumer (B2C). Next the focus is on the applications of E-commerce. The fourth and fifth sections focus on the limitations and risks of E-commerce. Next we look into the perceived benefits of E-commerce. The seventh section focuses on demographics. While the last two sections look into E-commerce and telecommunications in Jordan.
